In a cooperative effort with Mercury Marine's Latin America and Caribbean division, Land 'N' Sea serves over 60 additional countries worldwide.We are seeking a Warehouse Clerk / Back Up Driver to join our team in Clinton Township, MI. Warehouse shift: Monday through Friday, 9am to 6:30pm Driver shift would vary based on run being covered, etcWarehousing responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accurate picking, packing and shipment of various sized parts to support quick turnaround of parts ordered.

Fill orders by removing the correct parts from the shelf, identifying part numbers and proper quantity.

Determine method of shipment and packs accordingly.

Count, weigh, measure or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.

Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies and verifies accuracy of deliveries.

Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials.

Confirm proper location of merchandise.

Ensure production area organization and cleanliness.

Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations.

Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse and work areas.

Comply with all quality standards and policies.

Maintain a clean and safe work area - this includes cleaning / maintaining equipment and work areas, and performing safety inspections of areas.

Back Up Driver responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Must be comfortable driving a truck, and be able to navigate successfully in minimal access areas

Responsible for learning multiple delivery routes with varying start times, so flexibility is required to cover unexpected changes.

Ability to load, secure and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule

Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service

Professional appearance, with excellent communication and customer service skills

Accurate handling of CODs, delivery manifests

Vehicle inspection, both pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations

Excellent attendance and reliability are critical

With minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to solve practical problems

Hazmat training a plus

Medical examiner's certificate and the ability to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits

Must be able to become certified through OSHA in the following areas: Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness

CDL preferred but not required

Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge typically obtained with a high school or equivalent diploma.

Must have dependable attendance and be a team player.

Prior forklift certification or willing to become forklift certified.

Basic computer skills helpful.

Prior warehouse experience a plus!
