Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our team, providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for a variety of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. This role involves working on commercial and residential projects, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites. Candidates should have a strong background in construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and property maintenance to deliver high-quality service.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment

Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute projects accurately

Perform maintenance on HVAC/R equipment, including refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration

Conduct equipment repair using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment

Service field equipment and appliances related to HVAC and property maintenance

Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools

Perform plumbing tasks associated with HVAC systems when necessary

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes

Maintain detailed records of service activities and repairs performed

Assist with system upgrades or modifications based on client needs

Skills

Extensive experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and boiler operations

Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately

Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, welding, and appliance servicing

Field service experience with a focus on air conditioning systems and mechanical troubleshooting

Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting

Knowledge of plumbing related to HVAC installations and repairs

Experience with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration and ammonia refrigeration is preferred

Ability to operate a vehicle for travel between job sites

Mechanical skills in equipment repair, welding, maintenance, and boiler operation are highly desirable
