Job SummaryFunctions as the lead for operations at the hospital providing administrative oversight for multiple departments/areas. Assists in the development and implementation of annual and long-term goals for assigned division. Develops strategic initiatives to ensure future growth and success throughout the division. Serves as a liaison between senior hospital leadership, medical leadership and physicians to facilitate achievement of goals and objectives. Accountable administratively for multiple departments operational performance. Assists the Hospital President, VPMA, CNO, VP Finance and the hospital leadership team with projects and special assignments. This position reports to the Hospital President, CNO, or VP, Operations depending on the size of hospital and/or areas of responsibility.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Will have matrices responsibilities with shared and clinical service areas as well as hospital-based departments. Possible departments/areas of support and partnership include, but not limited to: Imaging Services (Generals, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Breast, Vein Ctr., IVR, Nuc Med), Cardiology Services (Cath Lab, Non Invasive), Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Infusion Services, Laboratory Services, Health & Fitness, Weight Loss/Bariatrics, Integrative Medicine/Acupuncture, Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Speech Rehabilitation Adult/Peds., Neurophysiology, and EVS, Patient Transport and Nutrition Services.Essential Functions
Assist with execution of the hospital’s strategic plan to develop, grow and maintain existing programs and services.
Administrative oversight and responsibility for operational and budget performance for areas of responsibility. This includes development and monitoring of financial goals and objectives, variance analysis, monitoring of KPI’s, operating statistics and implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
Monitor department compliance with customer service standards and supports departments in improving the culture of safety and employee satisfaction. Coach and mentor as appropriate.
Collaborate with other divisions to promote clinical integration and centers of excellence including accepting and performing committee work as assigned
Manages the horizontal value stream process across the site while working collaboratively with other leaders to develop teamwork among departments. Develop and maintain good working relationships with physicians, medical chiefs, administrators, leaders and peers across the hospital system.
Chair committees and organize work groups as needed to improve hospital operations.
Participate in continuing education for leadership, performance improvement and new technology as appropriate.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (or equivalent education and experience) in business, healthcare administration, or related field
Required Master's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in business, healthcare administration, or related fieldMBA or similar management degree
10 years of relevant experience Progressive experience in leadership positions. Preferred
