We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flexographic Press Operator to join our printing team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to job specifications.
- Mount printing plates, mix inks, and adjust press settings for optimal print quality.
- Monitor print runs for color consistency, registration, and overall quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
- Troubleshoot press issues and make necessary adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and quality control documentation.
- Collaborate with prepress and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Technical training in printing preferred.
- 5+ years of experience operating flexographic presses (narrow or wide web).
- Strong understanding of printing processes, inks, substrates, and color theory.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills
Experience with specific press brands (e.g., Mark Andy, Webtron).
