We are currently seeking a reliable and trustworthy truck driver with a minimum of 5 years’ verifiable experience operating refrigerated trailers for long-distance, cross-country trips. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods from California to the southern and east coast regions NJ,DE,PA,MD,VA,TN,GA There are 4-5 pickups in California and typically 5-8 scheduled stops on the east coast per trip. You will usually be on the road for 4-6 weeks with 5-6 days off at your home base. Position is paid weekly at $1900.00. Key Responsibilities Safely operate and manage a refrigerated trailer on cross-country routes. Complete 5-8 stops per trip as scheduled, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up of goods. (Appointments are time specific and must be adhered to.) Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payment receipts and cargo temperatures. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients throughout each journey. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment on the tractor and reefer unit. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional truck driving experience (Class A) pulling refrigerated trailers. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record, i.e. no DUIs, and less than 2 moving violations in the last 5 years. You must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen as well as random drug screens. Able and willingness to drive at night. Ability to manage cross-country trips independently and with little supervision. Must also have great communication skills with dispatch as well as our customers. Must be registered with, or willing to register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. General knowledge of ELDs and how to use them, as well as trucking related mobile apps.
