We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Property Caretaker to manage and maintain a unique private property located in Greenwich, New York. The property is a former campground, offering a mix of open land, wooded areas, multiple structures, and outdoor facilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong maintenance background, and is comfortable taking care of pets and handling a variety of tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular lawn care and landscaping across large open areas (mowing, trimming, seasonal clean-up)
Conduct general repairs and handyman work on, buildings, fences, and campground infrastructure
Maintain cleanliness of structures and outdoor spaces
Provide animal care, including feeding, grooming, cleaning their spaces
Inspect and monitor the property regularly to identify and address issues proactively
Manage light snow removal and prepare property for seasonal changes
Requirements:
Proven experience in property maintenance, landscaping,
Strong handyman skills and mechanical knowledge
Comfortable working outdoors year-round
Self-directed and highly responsible
Trustworthy and respectful of private property
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Comfortable caring for animals
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and complete physically demanding tasks
References required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience maintaining large rural or camp-style properties
Familiarity with small equipment and tools (mowers, chainsaws, snowblowers, etc.)
Background in groundskeeping, farming, or campground operations
Live-in option may be available for the right candidate
