PRE-SCREEN JOB INTERVIEWS

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

HELPER GAS OPERATIONS (Brooklyn, NY 11211)

Starting Pay: $22.48/hr.

Job Duties:

Perform traffic control and flagging.

Assist with digging, backfilling, and pavement removal.

Operate pneumatic tools and support underground work.

Handle tools and materials over 80 lbs.

Maintain safety and assist higher-level personnel.

Requirements:

3 years of related work experience (plumbing preferred).

High school diploma or GED.

Comfortable working with tools and machinery.

Valid state driver’s license.

Must complete required safety and technical training.

METER SERVICES TECH D (Hewlett, Brentwood, Roslyn)

Starting Pay: $22.80/hr.

Job Duties

Walk, climb stairs, and carry gas meters, tools, and materials.

Move heavy gas appliances and perform mechanical work with gas piping.

Interact professionally with customers, including during turn-offs and collections.

Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of the company

Work independently in all weather conditions.

Leave missed reading (CGI) cards per procedure.

Identify and report unsafe or abnormal operating conditions; issue Warning Tags.

Install and replace automated meter-reading devices.

Perform physical locks on gas meters during emergencies.

Assist other CMS Technicians or Working Leaders as needed.

Prepare reports and participate in surveys.

Maintain logs, perform basic arithmetic, and manage files.

Safely operate company vehicles daily.

Respond to emergencies and work extended hours when required.

Perform all meter reading activities including AMR, pedestrian reads, special reads, and data uploads/downloads.

Shut off/lock meters as trained.

Conduct Flood Patrols and other assigned duties (e.g., housekeeping, deliveries).

Support Mutual Aid for electric restoration via Wire Down Standby.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Basic power/hand tool knowledge.

Preferred but not required: Field experience.
