Location: New York State (Preference for candidates residing in one of the five boroughs of New York City)

About the Committee

Our Political Action Committee works to promote civic engagement, advocate for impactful policy change. We seek a qualified and ethical Treasurer to oversee all financial and compliance-related functions at both the state and federal levels within NYC.

Role Overview

The Treasurer will serve as the principal financial officer of the PAC, responsible for ensuring full legal compliance with New York State Board of Elections (NYSBOE) and Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a firm grasp of political finance laws.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain PAC accounts in compliance with FEC and NYSBOE requirements.

- Prepare and file all required financial disclosures and compliance reports on time.

- Manage receipt, recording, and disbursement of contributions and expenditures.

- Implement transparent recordkeeping systems aligned with legal standards.

- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

- Advise the PAC’s leadership on spending limits, contribution caps, and legal compliance matters.

- Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, or compliance vendors as needed.

- Review and approve budgets, contracts, and fundraising activities from a financial standpoint.

Qualifications

-Demonstrated experience establishing and managing a federal and/or NY PAC or serving as a Treasurer for one.

- Thorough understanding of FEC and NYSBOE reporting systems (COMREF, FECFile, etc.).

- Residency in tri-state area; preference given to candidates based in NYC’s five boroughs.

- High ethical standards and a commitment to transparency and lawful operations.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and ensure timely submission of reports and filings.

Compensation

Commensurate with experience; may be structured as a stipend or contractual arrangement.
