We're seeking a Utility Operations Manager - Field Services to lead and grow our portfolio of utility field services projects across North America. Remote work is available, and up to 50% travel will be required.This team brings extensive skills and experiences to both field and engineering services. Active participation in recognized technical societies such as NFPA and IEEE and collaboration with a variety of utilities and industries ensures that our employees are knowledgeable about today’s cutting edge technology and engineering techniques. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities.In this role you will: Lead team focused on growth and scaling of commissioning, protection and control, preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and apparatus testing for utility customers Manage the performance of a geographically-distributed team, with responsibilities for technical leadership of staff, financial performance (P&L), and resource management Develop forwarding looking profit plan and monthly forecasts. Accountable for efficient execution of services being offered / cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects Determine and implement operational high-five metrics, utilization targets, and financial budgets for field services team Work in partnership with business development and sales teams to drive segment growth through current programs and new business initiatives Drive cross-functional collaboration internally to support the needs of utility projects (e.g., procurement and engineering) Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees, assuring an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent, and training & development Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Assures strict compliance with safety policies, develops and deploys safety programs, assures safety equipment resources are available and properly tested Manage compliance to utility customer construction specifications, industry operating standards, and proceduresYour Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution. MBA preferred 10+ years of experience in managing and leading a service or engineering unit, or in electrical utility construction and/or maintenance Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the futre PMP certification preferred 15+ years experience in electrical utility projects or operations. Strong knowledge of utility transmission and distribution preferred Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage a P&L Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives, engineers and techniciansThe expected annual salary range for this role is $136500.03 - $200200.04 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
