Are you friendly and good with people? Do you like helping others? We need someone great to join our team at Postal Annex in the Apex, North Carolina.
This job is full-time, but we can also talk about a part-time schedule if you need it.
What You Will Do (Your Job Duties)
Pack and Ship: You will safely pack customer items and mail packages using companies like FedEx and UPS. You will also tell customers how much shipping will cost.
Help Customers: Welcome everyone with a smile! Answer questions about our services (mailing, packing, printing) and help them get what they need.
Use the Computer: You will use a computer to print shipping labels, type up simple documents, and enter information. You should know how to use basic programs for typing.
Handle Money: You will take cash and credit card payments. You need to be able to count money and do basic math for sales so you give the right change.
Print Stuff: Help customers print copies of documents. You will use and take care of the store's printers.
Keep the Store Stocked: Make sure we have enough boxes, tape, envelopes, and other supplies.
What We Need From You (Skills and Experience)
Experience: You should have worked with customers before, maybe at a store or restaurant, for at least 1 or 2 years. Knowing how to ship or pack things is a plus.
Must Have Skills:
- Be friendly and helpful to customers.
- Know how to use a computer and type things up.
- Be able to do simple math correctly.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds (a big box) safely.
- Be organized and pay close attention to details.
Other Stuff:
- You need to have a high school degree or a G.E.D.
- Be able to work different hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
- Be a good problem-solver and try to help fix things when they go wrong.
