Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.

Supervise nursing staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth.

Oversee the development and review of resident care plans to ensure individualized patient-centered care.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and Medicare guidelines.

Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems and electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate documentation and medical records.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.

Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements based on evidence-based practices.

Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and high morale among staff members.

Skills

Proven experience in nursing administration with a strong emphasis on management and supervision.

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes.

Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and home care protocols.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Excellent organizational skills with experience in shift management and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for efficient patient record management.

Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
