Automotive Industrial Engineer (New Products Launch)

About the RoleSegula Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead a team supporting new product introductions at a major OEM manufacturing facility. This role focuses on methods development, line balancing, and continuous improvement—ensuring production lines meet performance, safety, and quality targets during launch and ramp-up phases in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team conducting time and motion studies, developing standardized work, and balancing operator workloads to align with takt time using predetermined time standards such as MTM, MOST, or MODAPTS.Train the team on the customer’s new product introduction process.Present station readiness plans to the steering committee and customer.Present line balance strategies to the core launch team, including product, engineering, and operations stakeholders.Lead throughput and bottleneck analyses to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate constraints.Provide direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement design and process improvements.Ensure ergonomic evaluation data using digital tools such as Process Simulate Human or ErgoMan is provided to the responsible team.Validate PFMEA and process documentation for compliance and launch approval.Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing initiatives.Track and report launch metrics including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and throughput performance.Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases.
