Position Summary:
The Janitorial Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment during regular business hours. This role supports the daily operations of the facility by addressing immediate cleaning needs, restocking supplies, responding to service requests, and ensuring common areas remain presentable throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and entrances.
Perform continuous touch-point cleaning (door handles, elevator buttons, counters, railings, etc.).
Restock restroom supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and sanitizer.
Respond promptly to on-site cleaning requests and spills to maintain safety and appearance.
Empty trash and recycling bins as needed throughout the day.
Wipe down glass doors, windows, and other visible surfaces.
Conduct routine checks of facility cleanliness and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
Provide excellent customer service to building staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial, custodial, or porter experience preferred but not required (training provided).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established cleaning protocols.
Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Daytime schedule; hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30p, Monday thru Friday.
Work is performed in an office and manufacturing facility environment.
Additional Requirements:
Must adhere to company safety standards (including work wear attire) and site-specific protocols.
Must pass background check.
