Job Summary:The Donor Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate and direct the donation process for whole body donors. The Donor Coordinator will work closely with funeral homes, hospice, and donor families in coordinating care. A Donor Coordinator must possess natural empathy and sincerity to counsel grieving families.Essential Tasks:Answer and respond to all incoming donor referrals, calls and faxes. Counsel grieving families and assist them through the donation process. Input all donor information in the company database, including all forms and charting. Work closely with funeral homes and hospice. Accountability:Frequently, the Donor Coordinator’s decisions and actions strongly impact on the company’s revenue, operations, reputation, and/or customer satisfaction. Donor Coordinators follow routine procedures, established guidelines, or clearly stated standards, make few independent decisions, and performs work under close supervision.Knowledge and Skills:Efficiently utilize office machineryComplete tasks using computer software at an average to advanced skill levelProvide excellent customer service via all instruments of communicationComfortably interact with funeral homes, hospice programs and hospitals.Previous working experience in the medical field preferred.Work Environment:Sitting for extended periods of time.Lifting up to 25lbs.Speaking English clearly and fluentlyStarting pay $20/hr.
