REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a standard Drug and Alcohol screening (Marijuana is prohibited).
Please Note: Though cannabis use is legal in Oregon, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is a Federal Position where cannabis use is not protected.
Must provide a valid Oregon Driver's License with a clean driving record for at least three years.
Must pass a Federal Criminal Background Check, including fingerprinting.
Must obtain a City of Portland Private For-Hire Transportation Driver Permit.
Must speak and read English well enough to converse with clients.
Must be 22 years of age or older.
Must be able and comfortable with assisting the elderly and developmentally challenged.
DUTIES:
Assist with loading and unloading Members into Company Vehicles.
Transport Members to and from appointments, including clinics and Members' homes.
Operate a company Vehicle, Wheelchair Van (may include a lift or ramp).
HOURS AND PAY:
This position guarantees up to full-time, 40 working hours weekly.
Overtime is occasionally offered, as Members require service.
Drivers will be paid every two weeks, starting at $18 an hour for drivers with no experience needed.
