About the Role
We are seeking a motivated 1099 Outside Sales Representative to generate new business opportunities through outbound cold calling, prospecting, and appointment setting. This is a commission-only contractor role where you are responsible for creating your own pipeline and driving qualified leads for our business. You will introduce our services to potential clients, identify their needs, and hand off qualified prospects for final closing by our internal team.
Responsibilities
As an independent contractor, you will manage your own workflow and use your own methods to generate opportunities. Typical activities include:
Conduct outbound cold calls to targeted businesses
Identify and qualify potential clients based on defined criteria
Present a clear overview of our services (information will be provided)
Schedule qualified appointments for our closing team
Maintain your own prospecting pipeline and follow-up process
Represent our brand professionally in communication with prospects
Meet agreed-upon performance goals (not hourly requirements)
Submit leads and appointments using our agreed method (CRM, spreadsheet, etc.)
Compensation
This is a commission-only contractor position. Compensation includes:
Commission on closed deals generated from your leads
Optional: Flat fee per qualified appointment (if you choose to include this)
Commission payout is made after the client’s payment is received
No cap on earnings — the more you produce, the more you earn
Example Structure (customizable):
10–15% commission per closed contract
Higher commission tiers for consistent producers
Requirements
Previous experience in cold calling, appointment setting, or outbound sales
Strong communication and persuasive skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Reliable phone/internet for outreach
Ability to manage your own schedule and sales process
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling to businesses (B2B)
Experience with CRM or lead-tracking systems

Independent Contractor Classification
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. As a contractor, you:
Set your own hours
Decide your own methods for generating leads
Provide your own equipment (phone, laptop, etc.)
Are paid commission only
Are responsible for your own taxes and business expenses
We provide product/service information, target audience guidelines, and commission details—you control the process.
