DescriptionEllwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.

Today, ECG has four facilities in PA. We are currently seeking a full-time Manufacturing Utility Operator position at Ellwood Crankshaft & Machine in Hermitage, PA. This non-exempt position may be required to work rotating shifts and/or 12-hour schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED

Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities

Familiar with general computer applications

Excellent organizational skills

Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Proficient at operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment

Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Ability to work a variety of work schedules and overtime as neededRESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Safe operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, power pushers, and other heavy equipment

Moving finished and semi-finished workpieces around the shop

Bringing in material from outside yard

Assisting maintenance with maintaining various coolant and swarf removal systems

Loading and unloading trucks

Completing all relevant reports and documentation

Arrive to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled

Maintaining shop cleanliness, including operating floor scrubber, removing trash, and removing debris

Perform other routine labor work as assigned including operating the floor scrubber, removing trash, removing debris and metal chips, etc.
