We are seeking a number of part-time Instructional Aides (IA). This is a 1099 contract position that ranges from 10 to 25 hours per week (specific weekly hours, are authorized, on a student by student basis).
DESCRIPTION
(The candidate will):
Provide one-on-one support to a student(s) receiving virtual education.
Provide both academic and behavioral support.
Incorporate a behavioral treatment plan into the students daily learning.
Help the student(s) to reduce inappropriate behavior(s).
Assist those responsible, for the student, in fostering greater independence and socially responsible behavior via modeling.
Record data and chart progress of the student.
Work under the supervision of a master's level therapist.
Assignments are during typical school hours- 8am to 5pm.
Competitive hourly rate plus mileage at Federal rate (.70) per mile as of 2025.
Part-time positions are available during the school year (September through early June)
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have excellent multi-tasking skills (You will be required to assist the student with lesson content).
2 years of postsecondary study (60 college credits)
Minimum requirement as per PDE
Prior experience working with children is encouraged.
