Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring all food is prepared according to established recipes and safety standards.
- Serve meals to customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any dietary needs or preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, following all food safety regulations.
- Participate in menu planning, collaborating with the culinary team to create appealing and nutritious meal options.
- Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Support catering events by preparing and serving food as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak service times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Culinary experience with strong knife skills will be an asset.
