Position Summary
The Commercial Roofing Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, cultivating client relationships, and driving revenue growth across assigned territories. This role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to close deals in the commercial construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial roofing opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads across property management firms, general contractors, building owners, and facility managers.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and preliminary evaluations to understand client needs and project scope.
Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales while ensuring alignment with company pricing, standards, and service capabilities.
Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and operations staff to ensure smooth project handoff and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM systems.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Stay current on commercial roofing systems, materials, warranties, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in commercial roofing, construction, building materials, or related industries.
Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal, coatings, etc.) preferred.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents (preferred).
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
