My parents currently need 24/7 care and we need a new person in our care team. We have wonderful regular folks in other shifts, and you would receive a lot of shadow training to get you started.
Mom had a stroke a few years ago that limits her movement on her right side. She needs standby to light assistance for transfer support. She needs help with bathing and dressing. She has limited speech capability but communicates well and is very positive. She loves to interact and play some games (Mahjong, canasta, etc), she enjoys being outside, and also loves to paint.
Dad has Parkinson's. He gets around by himself but needs some assistance here and there, including meals.
