Project Manager for a low-voltage electrical contractor
Phones/Email:
Customers (return calls or provide answers)
Vendors (parts pricing/ordering)
Employees (provide or request information)
Writing Skills:
Write summary scopes of work in DTools.
Write summary scopes of service work or Equipment sales in Service Manager.
Write requests and follow up on change orders.
Read and plan both short-term and long-term construction schedules.
Participate in Pre-Con and job site meetings.
Read ahead/assess the job percentage of completion to coach/assist job leads, ensuring that both short-term and long-term schedules are met or exceeded.
Gathering information: Using the internet/phone/files/company software to gather information for job estimates or existing jobs.
Software:
DTools – Estimating Software
ProCore
Great Plains Dynamics with Wennsoft Service/Job Cost – Accounting Software that also tracks service calls and job installs.
Microsoft Word & Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Blue Beam
Formal PM experience and schooling required.
Experience in any area of the construction industry is required; experience in electrical or IT is a plus.
