Wellspring Home Health provides comprehensive home health care in Tacoma, focusing on occupational therapy to enhance daily living skills and independence. Our skilled services emphasize intermittent, goal-oriented interventions. We are hiring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to support therapy delivery under Occupational Therapist oversight.

Job Summary

In this position, you'll help patients regain functional abilities for ADLs, work, and leisure through adaptive therapies in home environments. Contribute to OASIS for accurate functional assessments. We offer rewarding per-visit work, advancement potential, and team support.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out occupational therapy treatments as planned by the supervising OT, including ADL training, fine motor exercises, and adaptive equipment use.

Support patient evaluations, goal setting, and progress tracking.

Provide input for OASIS documentation on self-care and functional status (e.g., M1800-M1830 items), ensuring compliance.

Instruct patients and families on compensatory techniques, energy management, and home modifications.

Maintain electronic documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Assess home environments for accessibility and implement safety recommendations.

Adhere to regulatory protocols, including OASIS timelines and Medicare standards.

Qualifications

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensed in Washington State; Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting.

At least 1 year in home health or skilled therapy; OASIS experience a plus.

BLS certification required.

Proficiency in interventions for neurological, orthopedic, and cognitive conditions.

Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, and clean background/drug screen.

Strong interpersonal and detail-oriented skills.

Flexible for per-visit scheduling, with occasional weekends.
