SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS COORDINATOR | AISC METAL FABRICATOR

An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. A successful candidate will process all in and outbound shipments, build crates, pack, label, and schedule outbound shipments, and deliver finished goods up and down I-5 corridors typically as far as the Seattle Metro Area. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently without supervision and flexibility in changes when unforeseen conditions require adjustments to work plan and schedule. The candidate must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record. Qualifications.
Minimum two years of related experience.
Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record without any major infractions, and no recent accidents or traffic violations.
Familiarity with shipping, receiving and handling methods.
Operate material handling equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.
Knowledge and ability to use basic handheld measuring tools, power tools, table saws and yard maintenance equipment.
Comprehension of Hazardous Waste Management, SDSs, and Stormwater Management.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, including documenting, tracking and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical stamina to perform loading/unloading tasks and handle heavy cargo.
Good communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset.
Comfortable in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
Specific Activities. Activities include but are not limited to:
Process in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, counting logging, delivering, packing, and shipping in the shipping department.
Mark and store received goods according to company quality management system policies.
Pack and label materials based on established standards.
Physically load and unload goods in a safe and secure manner utilizing provided equipment.
Delivery of finished goods or picking up materials from vendors.
Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.
Yard maintenance (i.e. mowing, weed whacking, sweeping, etc.)
Observe all safety guidelines including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, and company policies and regulations.
Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
Education and Experience.
2+ years of shipping experience in manufacturing facility preferred.
2+ years’ experience operating a vehicle with 26,000 or more gross weight.
Physical Demands. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee frequently is required to move, reach, lift, handle, feel, ascend/descend, observe, inspect, detect, handle or position self to observe.
Must be able to remain standing/walking position for majority of the time.
Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs frequently.
Work Environment.
This job operates outside and at times in inclement weather as well as in a fabrication shop environment.
There is exposure to machine oil, metal, plastic and wood particles, unpleasant odors, and noise.
Job functions on and around equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awareness.
Schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, may require some overtime work.

Compensation. $26-$40 DOE
