Overview:
Be a part of something exciting! Opening Saturday November 1st, we are looking for people to join our team who are enthusiastic about good, honest food and who care about each other and their community. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation from scratch and food service excellence. The ideal candidate will have a background in food handling and preparation, with an eagerness in maintaining high standards of food quality. To start, Lupine’s cafe will be open from 8am-4pm. We will serve breakfast and lunch, espresso drinks as well as wine & beer. Be aware that you need to be available for weekends and holidays! 4-5 shifts/week.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and menus
-Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety guidelines
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
-Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak service times
-Handle food items with care, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques
-Provide exceptional food service to guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable
Skills:
-Previous experience in a food establishment: working in kitchens, preparing food, cooking, familiarity with food service operations and handling practices is preferred
-Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
-Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment
-Ability to work efficiently under pressure
