Bauer Builders is seeking a skilled and reliable candidate for the year-round position of equipment operator. The applicant should have a minimum of three years work history of operating various types of construction equipment safely and appropriately.
Experience in the use of a skid steer, excavator, bulldozer, mini-excavator, and other construction-related machinery used to perform grading, finishing, sloping, back-filling, demolition is preferred. The ideal candidate should also be capable of performing general maintenance and safety checks of equipment. The position offers 40 hours/week, health insurance benefits and paid vacation.
Equipment Operator Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment
Ensuring equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off, or loading and unloading it
Performing other construction duties as needed
Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe
Attending meetings and refresher courses to ensure responsible equipment operation
Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

Equipment Operator Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of three years of work history in the use of a skid steer, excavator, bulldozer, mini-excavator, and other construction-related machinery used to perform grading, finishing, sloping, back-filling, demolition is preferred
High school diploma
Relevant license and safety certification
Prior experience operating equipment
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow orders, especially under pressure
Ability to work to strict deadlines
A sound understanding of health and safety codes
A positive outlook and a willingness to learn
Compensation & Benefits:
$32.00-$38.00/hr. depending on experience
