Friends of Family Adult Home, LLC is looking for a reliable and hardworking caregiver to work on a full-time basis with one to four residents in a home-like setting.
Full-time and part-time shifts available. The starting pay is $12 an hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Pass Medications
- Promote independent living
- Assure the cleanliness and dignity of each resident
- Maintain a safe and sanitary resident environment.
- Engage residents in activities
- Report any changes to the Nurse or designated charge person immediately
- Give report to oncoming shift &
- Cook and prepare meals
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and contagious energy
- 18 years of age or older
- 6 months experience working in a hospital, nursing home, or home setting with mentally and physically challenged individuals
- Currently certified in the State of Wisconsin (CBRF)
- Currently certified in CPR (added plus)
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
- Negative TB skin test (within the last 12 months)
- Great communication skills
- Flexibility with schedule including availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Patience and ability to manage/redirect residents with severe behavioral disorders &
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
