Steel Fabrication Shop

We are looking for someone interested in learning the trade of high end custom steelwork. We are a small steel fabrication shop located up off Deer Valley Rd and Cave Creek Road, and we're looking for a full-time employee to help with a variety of jobs including fabricating, welding, finishing, and installing fine metalwork. We build fireplaces, kitchen hoods, staircases, railings, all kinds of primarily residential steelwork, meaning a lot of our work varies from day to day so attention to detail is very important. The job includes handling steel most of the day, so we need someone who can handle heavy objects and be fit enough to go up and down ladders, etc. We typically work 6-4 Mon-Thurs with overtime on Fridays, and when we are busy weekend work is optional. Ideally looking for somebody who is interested in craftsmanship and is eager to learn this trade. We are thinking $20/hr for someone with little experience, $25 for someone with enough construction/welding experience to be trusted to work with less oversight, and we are willing to raise pay for the right worker.
