Position: Structural Steel Fitter
We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Fitters who take pride in precision, safety, and teamwork. If you know your way around beams, columns, and connections – and you can read blueprints like a map – you’ll fit right in.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Fit and assemble structural steel components for welding and erection.
Measure, cut, grind, and prep steel to exact tolerances.
Operate hand tools, torches, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Work closely with welders and fabricators
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in structural steel fitting or related trade.
Strong blueprint and layout reading skills.
Knowledge of steel fabrication shop practices.
Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, squares, levels, etc.).
Comfortable working with grinders, torches, and heavy steel.
Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Preferred but not required:
Welding certifications (SMAW, FCAW, MIG).
Rigging and erection experience.
OSHA 10/30 training.
