Trattoria Contadina, a beloved North Beach neighborhood institution serving San Franciscan Italian dinners since 1984, is looking for a professional, reliable, and team-minded server to join our small but mighty front-of-house family.
We’re a tight space, a tight team, and a fast-paced dining room.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong wine knowledge, especially with Italian varietals
Kindness first — warm hospitality is everything here
Someone comfortable with Italian ingredients & classic dishes
Ability to manage a larger section and keep up in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to navigate stairs (one section is up 8 steps)
Must be comfortable working in close quarters with a small FOH team
Willingness to pick up shifts and support the team when needed
Must reliably commute to North Beach (limited parking & unpredictable bridge traffic)

Position Details:
Available shifts: Saturday & Sunday Nights with Weds | Thurs | Fri pick up opportunities
All dinner shifts: Start at 4:00 PM | Last seating at 9:00 PM | Typically finished around 10:30 PM
Tip structure: We are not a pooled-tip house. Tips are retained individually by each server.
Start Date: Our target start date is 1st of the year, but we’re happy to train earlier if we find the right person.
