Job Duties:
Repair bodies and straighten frames on tractors, trailers, buses, and sanitation vehicles
Examine damages and perform repairs according to tech sheet specifications
Remove vehicle trim to access body areas; fill depressions with body filler as needed
Remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch
Bolt or weld replacement parts into position
Straighten bent frames using frame rack
File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
Install and adjust headlights
Align panels and replace bolts to specification
Perform cosmetic repairs and rust removal
Mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination
Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in auto body repair
