We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Head Start program and help create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. As a Lead Teacher, you'll play a vital role in preparing children for school success while promoting a love of learning in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field required
- Experience in a preschool or Head Start setting preferred
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and learning frameworks
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and families
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assess and document children’s progress in alignment with Head Start standards
- Supervise classroom staff and provide mentorship and training
- Foster positive relationships with families and involve them in their child’s learning journey
